Cache Doubles Claims Over Prospective Welsford Intrusive Complex PDF Print E-mail

VANCOUVER, BC (September 23, 2010) – Cache Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: CAY) is pleased to announce that on September 17, 2010 the Company applied for and was granted an additional 131 claims surrounding the Welsford REE Properties in New Brunswick.  Dr. David Lentz, P. Geo., is a Qualified Person as described in National Instrument 43-101 and is responsible for the technical information contained in this news release.

The attached regional-scale geological map of the Welsford region, located north of the City of Saint John, shows the three sets of Welsford claims including the new extension claims along the outer perimeter and the new claims covering the western region of the peralkalic Welsford Intrusive Complex. The coloured boundaries outline the previously announced 6 Inner Welsford Claims in black border and the 125 Outer Welsford Claims in dark red. The addition of the 131 new claims as shown outlined in medium red, completes coverage of the intrusive complex overlooked during earlier manual staking and adds the western extension that became available for staking. Cache has now secured virtually all portions of the highly prospective Welsford Intrusive Complex other than claims located within the Gagetown military base.

The assessment of the stream sediment and soil sampling program completed at the end of August 2010 is awaiting the results of the samples submitted for Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis (INAA) to ACTLABS. Integration of the new datasets with the earlier positive results from widely spaced soil sampling over the entire claim area obtained in the fall of 2009 is in progress. The Company expects to interpret and report this data once the fall 2010 drill targets have been defined.

In addition to the new claims being announced, the Company reports that new outcrops and several boulders were found with significant potential, based on their relative scintillometer readings. These new areas were sampled and the Company are awaiting the analytical data from ACTLABS for these new areas that were previously unknown relative to assessment file information.

Dr. S. Watters, P. Geo., has completed a compilation of the Inner Welsford claims information, has relogged two historical drill holes, and has sampled parts of the historical drill core archived at the NB DNR-minerals core facility in Sussex NB. Thirty five samples were split by diamond saw from the archived drill core and sent for INAA and fusion ICP-MS analysis at ACTLABS in late August. These included numerous dykes not previously analysed during the initial drill core examination and will therefore represent additional information on these two diamond drill holes. As part of that re-examination of those drill holes, Dr. S. Watter's has completed a drill hole cross section that will help with future drill targeting aimed at locating the source of these dykes. Field work on the Inner Claims has begun to identify specific drill targets using the detailed geological compilation, radiometric analysis of the area, and the detailed soil sampling results from the 2010 soil sampling and radiometric program currently being assessed. Reporting of results has been delayed due to a backlog in data analysis and reporting by ACTLABS, but QA/QC analysis has been completed and the datasets for the soil sampling and stream sediment sampling programs for Phase II and Phase IVa have been examined and are being compiled in ARC GIS, which is the main platform for examination of all compiled data for this project.

Additional Information

Cache Exploration is an exploration company with a focus on exploring for REE deposits. In addition to the expanded Welsford Properties, the Company has the Louil Hills REE Property in Newfoundland and the Cross Hills REE Property in Newfoundland which is adjacent to the Rockbridge Resources Inc. REE Property. All Cache REE properties have proximity to available infrastructure and are considered to have excellent potential for rare earth mineralization.
